The original BalletBoyz, Michael Nunn and William Trevitt, have upped the ante for their company’s brand new show the Talent 2013. No doubt dipping into their extensive Royal Ballet connections they’ve pulled off the considerable coup of commissioning a new work from choreographic Wunderkind Liam Scarlett. Though still only in his early twenties Scarlett recently quit dancing to become the Royal Ballet’s first ever Artist-in-Residence. Oh, and he also knocks out works for Miami City Ballet too.
Old BalletBoyz favourite, and maker of some wonderful dance pieces, Russell Maliphant has also come up with something new for everyone to have a look at in what should be an intriguing Double Bill.
The 9-strong all-male company start their UK Tour on 18 January 2013 at Watford Palace Theatre before heading to Richmond Theatre on 23 & 24 January and then criss-crossing the country until March 23, including a spell at Sadler’s Wells from 8-13 March.
